September Challenge for Ladies, Ink Part 1

Good morning everyone,

Here is the first part of a three part challenge for September with the Ladies, Ink Blogging Group. This month we are to make 3 Xmas cards......So, here is my first one! Very non-traditional. I reckon this one would look pretty in the usual Xmassy colours too, but I wanted to try it in something different!

What do you think?I have used a gorgeous StampIt Xmas stamp here (Christmas Round 3681F) which I have stamped multiple times in order to get all the layering. The Merry Xmas in the middle is raised with dimensionals. The paper is by Kaiser as are the fancy brads and the little buckle by Finishing Touch Ideas. The grosgrain ribbon, I think is SU. The rest is Bazzill. I laid the card on a blue background so you could see the white base card clearly, just for the photo opportunity!

For anyone who is interested and cannot source any of these things, I do sell them :). Just whizz off an email and I can see if I can help you out.

Challenge 1 for Ladies INK A 3D Project

Good Morning everyone,

I have not been very active this week stamping wise. It is tax time in these parts and I had two businesses to get ready for that, cook three weeks worth of main meals for my DH, run to town a few times, pack a load of goodies to send ahead of myself and actually get that in the post, a major bad hair day visit to the hairdressers and to top it off, my puppy has been ill. One of THOSE weeks.

Today, I have put aside to doing some of my commitments stamping wise, and like a nit, have decided to work backwards! (Actually working with an idea which came to me last night...and you DO have to go where the mojo takes you, right?)

Here is my Ladies INK inaugural challenge set by Christyne. It had to be a 3D project and mine is a recipe stand. I have taken a few piccies so you get the idea a bit better with it. I am extremely pleased with how it turned out and could easily do a few of these because it was a lot of fun!

Stamps: Wordsworth Alphabet, Alota Bees Cardstock: Chipboard, Kaiser DS Paper, Bazzill Inks: StazOn Black Other: Prisma Pencils, Odourless Mineral Solvent, Blending Stumps, Rings, Recipes Holders, Grosgrain Ribbon, Liquid Appliqué, Crystal Kindy Glitz, Magnet Strips

CAS 03

Good evening!
Hello everyone,

I would like to share my very first challenge piece (not including stuff we do within the Blogging Groups, of course!)

I decided to give the Clean and Simple Challenges a whirl. Thanks to Maria
for setting me along this path of creative encouragement! CAS makes you really think about your stamping and is a wonderful exercise in putting something together for maximum effect whilst using little material!

Beautiful cards can be achieved without zillions of layers. I believe I might visit with this challenge thread a fair bit in the future!

Materials
Stamps: Crafty Individuals CI148 Adele, Judikins Bolio
Inks: Colourbox Chalk Inks Creamy Brown & Dark Brown, Adirondack Cranberry, Encore Metallic Gold
Cardstock: Unknown Source
Other: Collections Stars, Unknown Ribbon Source

It would be lovely, if you have the time, to come on over and vote in our current challenge. The link is here http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=r3FoHiBqy9a4_2fgsqatTsGA_3d_3d . It would be great if we had lots of people from outside our group give their opinion.

Thanks for that!

Sassy Stampers Acetate Challenge

Materials
Stamps: Inkadinkado 97633 Floral Flourishes, Darkroom Door DDRS004 Full Bloom Vol 2
Inks: StazOn Opaque Butter Cream
Cardstock: Generic White Card, Liz Zed Marbled Paper
Other: Acetate, Cream Brads, Cream Grosgrain, Crop o Dile

This card was made for the Sassy Stampers challenge. The base of the card is fully acetate. I have lined the inside with marbled paper and white generic cardstock. I scored half an inch in on the acetate and the marbled paper so the card would open freely to the white card where a sentiment can be placed.

I love stamping on acetate, especially with the StazOn Opaque inks. They are just so divine!....Not to mention, easy peasy!!!! Hope you like this card and come along to vote tomorrow! I will post a link to where you can see our efforts with acetate. It will be worth a look see, I am sure!

SCS Blogger Challenge 1

Ok...Tis the 28th, so here is my entry for our first challenge.

I have used the bleach tech with this card, with Prisma pencils and H2O's to highlight the over- colouring. I swiped all the pieces with StaZon Black to create a shabby chic look (well as much as one can with orange and yellow!)
