I have noticed I put three cards up belonging to the pink family, so have gone and found something way away from pink! I made this a while back, in many different styles, but this particular one does remind me of my very well worn pair of thongs sitting at the back door.

It is done using the crackle technique and Jo Sonja paints. Eyelets and beads are used for the straps. The card does open and is hinged along the left side of the thongs. This style of card is always popular with the kids!

Good morning all...Hopefully the rain has buzzed off for a little while. How soon we forget we have been in drought!
Being cane farmers, we definitely wanted the rain as it is prime growing season just now. Luckily our farm drains pretty well and we are not part of the news reports that say Qld is 2/3rds flooded.
Onto brighter things... This card has been done using Embossing Medium and Dreamweaver Stencils, with the wording stamped and embossed. I was very pleased with how it turned out. The stencil gives a very sharp, clear image and is very dramatic against a darker colour.

Alrighty.....I seem to have that all sorted nicely! And now I have, I am off to create something for a class I will be teaching in early February. Maybe I will go outside for a few minutes to enjoy the sun, which is currently fighting to appear! We have had been deluged with rain all of this month and most of last month too, but are in a very lucky little pocket of Queensland that happens to drain really quickly! I am thinking of Debbie, my mate who lives in Emerald west of here. They are waiting for the water to break the banks at present in that town!

Cuttlebugging

Trying out different views here.

Another card using the same technique, this time using Colorbox Chalks with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The pinks are much more subtle than this scan presents. The Hero Arts Sweet and Simple wording is raised and is surrounded by bling. It has been a very simple but very popular card with those who visit me.

Ok....Just fiddling around here to see if I can manage uploading piccies. This card I made recently using the Cuttlebug Texture Textile Embossing Folder and black pigment ink. The foam rollers required to get this effect have been a royal pain to find!!! My friend Jean has tracked them down in the US finally and some extras are on their way.
Hi...I have finally bowed to pressure and created this blog. I hope to document, a little, the continuing journey I have with paper...all things paper!

I love stamping....and have been stamping for what seems like forever. I am not bored, nor ever have been bored with this artform, as there is just so much out there to experiment with and to experience!

I love just about all styles of stamping and also like to dabble with stencil, parchment, sticker and stitching work (all of these extensions I incorporate into cards, of course!)

Off the page stuff is also of interest, though of late I cannot get to that passion.

Hope to interact with some of you out there with similar interests!
