Queen of Hearts

I was restricted to red, white and black for this challenge which had to include a playing card.

Wasn't too unhappy with the results. This one sort of fell together really quickly....for a change!

Fabulous Fifties

Still doing paper piecing...lol....when on a roll, keep going!

This is a great, "old" set I have hanging around. Thought I might condition the stamps by using them. Novel idea, hey!

Sure I know a few old farts I can offload this one on.

You're My Cup of Tea

Holy Hector! The challenge to make this card was great...but I got there in the end.

I do believe this is going to suit the person it is intended for....well...one hopes so! I do not know the manufacturer of this stamp, but it is off a full plate of stamps with the tea theme.

Wishing You a Piece of Paradise

And here is the same stamp from Stampendous but with a much different feel about it.

A little bit of watercolouring with paper piecing once again. This time I used a Liz Zed marbled paper both for the sand and for the layering.

Secret Sister Card

I received this secret sister card on Friday. The theme for Lorraine's Secret Sister for March was: "Up in the Air". I reckon the lady who made this has that down pat!. Beautiful, careful Dimensional Magic work on all the balloons. Must have taken an age! I love that and the bright cheeriness of the card.

Beach Happy

Hi there,

The sun is out!!!! Finally!!!!! And to celebrate what better than a beachy card!

This one is a beautiful Stampendous stamp which I have watercoloured in parts. The other parts have been paper pieced with patterned paper for the umbrella and glitter paper for the sand.

Flower Appeal

I acquired the Hero Arts DVD, just to see what was on it. They did have a lovely tutorial to make this card. It doesn't do anything I do not know already how to do, but I loved the composition, so just had to make one myself. I cannot remember if they used green on theirs or not.

I did not own all theirs stamps, so have substituted ...mainly for the background piece. Chalk and die inks have both been used here with lots of 2nd and 3rd generation stamping.

Another with the Arc

A fair bit of dimension to this one. Again, I chose colours not normally seen together with my work. I was trying to follow the colours showing in the Credit Card swiped feature piece. I LOVE the embossing folder!

The wording is by Hero Arts

Arc de Triumph

No clue to the manufacturer of this stamp. The card was made with a piece of inked paper belonging to Grace and I purposely used colours I do not normally use. Much angst followed after I decided to do that, and I don't like it one little bit!
