Double Embossing Engagement Card

I saw this great idea whilst checking out Split Coast today and just had to try it. Double embossing using the Cuttlebug folders. Yeah, Ok....It has been around, but I haven't really taken notice until today. It was interesting to try out and the results are actually really pretty! One thing I did do though, is to run the second embossing folder through the machine twice as I felt it wasn't distinct enough from the first pattern with just the one run through.

My card is a direct case of Susie B

in that I have used the same folders and added pearls to the design. I have changed the colour scheme, ribbons and how the sentiment was attached.

My I just had the worst time trying to upload that photo!

This turned out great. Thanks for reminding me about double embossing. I've been wanting to try it and then time goes on and on and before long I forget that I had the idea in the first place *LOL*

I've never tried double embossing with the CB. It looks great! I really like how you added the touches of color to the embossed parts. It softens up the card and is just perfect as an engagement card.

Those 2 folders do look nice together. I like the colors you chose to highlight the birds and plants with, and your green ribbon is a nice touch, too.
